Sunny

The "Sunny" is a grainy bread containing heaps of sunflower kernels. It is mild, soft inside with a light brown, crisp bread crust decorated with sunflower kernels. It's ideal for breakfast, for instance as a side dish to eggs or sausages or simply as an open-faced sandwich with butter, ham, jam, honey or whatever you like. However most people prefer sweet sandwich spreads for the Sunny. This bread lasts up to five days. Just keep it in a wooden bread box or a bread crock. Don't put it into a plastic bag or in the fridge. Too much moisture made the bread too soft and promotes the development of mildew. Ingredients: dark rye flour, wheat wholemeal flour, filtered water, sunflower kernels, coriander seeds, salt.
